ALASKA FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION |
During the 2019 Alaska Fire Conference thanks to Lisa Shield, with late brother Tim Adams, Alaska Fire Chief's Association (AFCA), Alaska State Firefighters Association (ASFA), and Ketchikan Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) each Rural Fire Chief in attendance was gifted a kuspuk. The response to this project was so great that Lisa and KVFD have decided to expand the Kuspuk Class A Project.
They are offering kuspuks for purchase, the price is based on the materials needed to make two, one for you the purchaser and one to gift to a Rural Fire Chief/Firefighter. Lisa and her children are gifting their time and skills to continue making them.
To purchase a Kuspuk for yourself and gift one to a Rural Fire Chief/Firefighter, use the following link. After your complete the purchase you will receive an email from KVFD with further instructions regarding collection of measurements for sizing, sleeve striping, years of service, etc.
***NOTE*** The option to pre-order a Kuspuk was given to those in attendance at the 2020 Leadership Summit and 25 pre-orders were placed. Because each Kuspuk is handmade and custom fit it will take some time to complete the initial 25 orders and therefore the Buy Now button below is intended ONLY FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT PRE-ORDERED during the Leadership Summit. This note will be removed when we are ready to begin accepting additional orders.
