Assistant Chief Admin/Training - Chena Goldstream Fire & Rescue - Open Until Filled

Chena Goldstream Fire & Rescue (CGFR) is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to become an Assistant Chief (or Senior Captain depending on experience and training) of our department. Starting salary is $70,000 annually DOE with a generous benefits package including paid medical and employer funded retirement. Reimbursement for moving expenses up to $10,000 (with receipts) is available. Rank of position will depend on the experience of the applicant. Duties for this position would include supervision of Fire and EMS Training Programs that are run by our Shift Officers, Coordinating and Overseeing Scholarship and Live-in Firefighter Programs, and Volunteer Recruitment and Retention. In this role, you have the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, as this position will be focused heavily on building collaborative and positive relationships with staff, volunteers, other departments, and community stakeholders; staff, student, and volunteer recruitment, training, mentoring, recognition and leadership building; fire service leadership; and emergency medical services management. Core technical competencies required for this position include:

- Firefighting   - EMS     - Hazmat     - Incident Command System    - Search and rescue techniques 

- Command and control techniques     - Fire Hydraulics     - Ability to manage training programs

 All applicants will be subject to a full criminal background check and a full driver’s license history for the past 3 years minimum (up to 5 years).
